I moved to Texas 30 years ago. The first time that I tried this, a local cop stopped me. He told me that he would pretend to write me a ticket and then let me go. Never did it alone again, only in a group.

Im a local truck driver in Texas and see this all the time.

You could be stuck for 3hrs or more on the hwy during a traffic jam caused by an accident. so get off the hwy if you can. Time is precious.
