I failed my first time due to not using proper signaling when doing parallel parking and 3 point turn. Its ok though, I got my second try tomorrow, hoping to get it! (It took 5 times to get my permit so hopefully I get it this time!)

For those nervous about the test just remember that at the end of the day it is up to the instructor to pass/ fail you for whatever they want. I hit the curb while backing up when I took mine and still passed. Confidence is key!

I failed twice because of my high anxiety. I finally passed missing nothing on the test because I was comfortable who I was with. If you failed and haven’t gotten your license yet, it’s okay. No rush take your time and if you fail you can always try again. Trust I was down in the dumps and I had a stressful year losing my dad, working, and taking care of my grandma. You guys got this!!!

I passed my test January, my hints:
- Look at your mirrors every 5 seconds
- It’s better to be slow than speed. You don’t have to go exactly your speed limit. Maybe 1-2 below.
- Take your TIME. Don’t let other driver honk at you, it’s your test. Do not feel the need to rush.

After 2 fails I finally got my license! It's pretty easy for the evaluator to fail you for simple mistakes so keep your head up if it happens. Failure doesn't necessarily mean you're a bad driver. Keep practicing and go at it again. You're bound to get someone who believes in you. But for me I took a step further by contacting a private license and professional dmv agent that helped me to write a provisional letter to bypass the test drive and i was given a provisional driver's license which will last for 12 months. I got a license now and it will serve for 1 year then I renew again.
My little advice.
* If you think are too nervous for the test drive then you can easily switch to a provisional driver's license which you won't need to test drive.

Worst mistake I made when learning was trying to mimic what other drivers are doing, especially at intersections. So many people don't adhere to what they've presumably been taught in order to have their licence. Always best to just follow the instructor and not take other people's actions as an example.

I passed my driver test dec 8th 2022 I’m 50 years old never had a licence before Took my test in Dayton Ohio it was easy just went around the residenal area and did maneuverability .

I remember when I took my driver test about 6 years ago I failed the first time because I “ran a yellow light”. I was stopped at a red light behind a huge dump truck and couldn’t see the light (I was about 2 Cars back). The light turned green and we all went. Well the light turned yellow SO FAST when I was in the middle of making a left turn, and the lady was like “sir you just ran a red light”. I did not say anything but in my head I was thinking “did you want me to stop in the middle of the intersection??” Anyways this is all to say. Air on the side of caution during your test. Just be patient at lights. You may sit at a light through 2 cycles before you can go and that’s okay if it means you will pass the test.

i took my test today and passed with a 100. i was very nervous but something very true is it really can depend on your instructor. I had an appointment at the end of the day and i talked a little with them and they just wanted to go home. they chose the shortest route and didn’t care to mark any points off.
