My allegiances have always been first to truth and honesty. Then to pleasing others. Then self preservation. Though I haven’t always done the best job one the third one. And sometimes 2 and 1 come in conflict. I wish I didn’t have a need to please others. I just about never intentionally lie solely for my own benefit. I’m including white lies and lies to family and friends as well. All my lies are to benefit others. I believe it is morally wrong to lie just for oneself. But am often told to lie for others. I also believe if I man steals and lies he has stolen twice morally. If he murders and lies about it he has murdered twice morally. I am not religious nor do I believe in God. But I do believe Jesus’s sermon on the mount and love your enemy is the greatest moral advance until at least this century anywhere on Earth. I believe are morals are taught to us but we also natural emotions that will change our behavior in good and bad ways as well as some morals that are good and bad. People naturally form groups that exclude people and favor some people over others. I would argue as many today would that is not good.

He gives you the free will to enjoy his company or not.
You can join him in eternity or be eternally separated from him.
It's a free choice.

Jesus loves you, he went to the cross, to die for you, he defeated sin for you, he gave you freedom. He is your father. No matter what you believe, every knee will bow and you will confess that Jesus is Lord. He is the way, truth and the life.

Wow… how’s that for the epitome of twisted language !! Maybe I’m not understanding the reasoning here.

God created us. He created us so WE can believe in him. And somehow that’s supposed to make us all somehow better ?? A question for me is why not simply avoid creating Us ? We wouldn’t have needed to be “better” if we weren’t created in the first place ! One doesn’t need to create imperfect beings & then charge them with “make yourself better” by believing in me (god). Why didn’t god make us perfect in the first place ?? And then just move on to the next creation event ? Seems to me there’s some ulterior motive hidden there.

Are humans just to accept the idea that god is some omnibenevolent entity that floats around outside of universes and makes new universes ? Then why does the 1st Commandment stipulate; “Thou shalt have no other gods before me !!” If we humans are not supposed to worship god, what’s the point of that ? I suspect that Cliffe is simply making stuff up.

Not sure Cliffe understands that his excuse makes it worse. That means god created a universe and people in it with the choice to either worship him or suffer. This excuse only works if you have a god that didn't set up the conditions in the first place but is trying to help people by giving them an escape from something he didn't set up. Christian god does not have that out.
