I would have left today for a 2 week trip to Japan (first time).

I'm heartbroken, but these types of videos help me keep that spark of excitement! I'm planning for October 2021 and decided to extend the trip to 3 weeks.

The plus side is, now I can put even more money aside for all these delicious snacks!

I had the pleasure of eating a few mister donuts when I visited Japan in February. I loved the cream filled one- their cream is just lightly sweetened and it was so delicious!! Japan knows how to do their pastries and desserts!

By far my favorite parts of Tokyo or Yokohama (I live in Yokohama) are these Showa jidai streets and alleys. Particularly the ones that haven’t been exploited for tourism. I love that you cover these types of places.

It isn't just the "old" look, but the idea that tokyo has both a large amount of small, unique, individually owned businesses and modern corporate chains. That you can find either easily. In the US it feels more so that there are a few non chain options and mostly chains.
