Darwin's BIGGEST Problem?!

Today, we're talking about an anti-evolution cartoon by an evangelical/fundamentalist Christian channel called Long Story Short. In this wonderful video, we go through the Cambrian explosion, math, and a whole lot of nonsense, set to a quaint little cartoon with quaint little music. The creationist obsession with Darwin is just weird. Y'all, Darwin kicked the whole thing off, but we've moved WAY beyond him, and the theory of evolution continues to make successful predictions.

I think that one of the saddest parts about this argument is how close the mathematical argument comes to why biology, and therefore evolution, works.
The fact that molecules just banging around at random don't form proteins is essential to survival. It is also not an argument that any scientists make.
If they could just wrap their heads around the concept of a catalyst, they would see that their entire argument immediately collapses.

The theistic view assumes that if evolution was disproven it would prove their particular god.

He seems to suggest that when Darwin and his contemporaries didn't find Precambrian fossils, somehow people stopped looking. Of course they didn't, and they have been found in many places. They are still vanishingly rare, for all the reasons one might expect, including that something very small and 2 billion years old is going to be hard to find on a planet that has tectonic activity and erosion.
Even if they hadn't been found, we would still need a theory that explains how we got from the early Cambrian fossils to us, encompassing all the fossils we have, and the variety of life on the planet today. The theory of Evolution.

tbh I think Darwin's biggest problem, other than the fact that he's dead, is that his theory is over 150 years old now and has been superseded with more modern theories.

The way I like to refute the whole low odds argument in a mathematically sound way is that as n (number of iterations) increases improbable approaches inevitable.

I am a huge fan of this video, I desperately wish he was a friend of science cuz the drawing, the voice, his lingo, I wish more YEC's and apologists to adopt it. If he has other related videos I vote you do some of those.

The Cambrian "explosion" lasted at least 53.4 million years and has been getting longer and longer over the years.. As they find earlier, and earlier fossil traces.
