In this video, I run through how I solder 2 conductor braided wire. Braided wire can be tricky, and I hope this video makes it a bit easier for you fine folk. Cheers Matt

Thanks Matt. You make it look so easy ;) What about wiring up to a Tele switch where there are lots more terminals in close proximity to the ground wire? How so you prevent the braid from coming in to contact with the other terminals?

How about when the lug the hot needs to be wired to is 4cm from the volume pot(where the braid has to be wired). Its pretty self explanatory when they're 4mm apart no?

Any suggestion on how to add length to a short braided wire from an old Gibson mini-hum? Is it just as simple as soldering on some normal wire from the braid that exists to whatever length you need to add and then solder the other end of the normal wire to the pot? I'm sure this will work, but wonder if there's a better way since it's braided?

Is there a way to solder the wire to the switch. I wanted to change the single coil on my tele to a Humbucker with braided wire. My problem is that the single coil hot was soldered to the switch. What should i do?
