Essential Gear:

Clothing:
Riding socks (2 pairs)
Evening socks (1 pair)
Motorbike riding trousers and Motocross trousers
Shorts for evening wear
Underwear (3 pairs, use the inside-out tactic to extend wear)
Warm trousers (if traveling in colder weather)
MX t-shirts (2 for driving)
Evening t-shirt
Light raincoat (for hot conditions) or Gore-Tex raincoat (for cold conditions)
Thermal base layers (thermal trousers and t-shirt, if necessary)
Waterproof trousers (only for cold trips)
Safety Gear:

Motocross boots
Protective knee and elbow guards (Forcefield Pro Tubes)
Air Max gloves (thin gloves for breathability)
ADV gloves for extreme cold
Lightweight helmet (Fly Carbon MX)
Motocross goggles or sunglasses
Electronics:

Minimal charging setup (one cable, one wall socket, one power pack)
Lightweight tablet (e.g., Samsung S7 with Bluetooth keyboard) for easy packing
Compact camera (Sony RX0 for photos, avoid bulky DSLR if not essential)
Spare phone for navigation instead of mounting a primary phone on the bike

My travel bag weighs like 8kg. It pays to pack light when doing the HCM to Hanoi trip. I about ruined my laptop though by keeping it in a Givi box on the Honda Winner 150cc and it shook the crap out of it until i noticed a little ways past Da Nang. Don't do that! 😅
