What it's like Playing Old School vs. Modern Yugioh!

New Yugioh, 2-3 turn-10/20 minute per turn

I can't lie. Goat format really does feel like the old yugioh I used to play. So much fun if you can get people interested.

Gonna get some hate for this but the old format is just better period. Actually fun, not expensive, each deck actually had a theme (vs now its a combination of theme ie; engine splashed of op cards like links or tier o. Actual interaction that didn't allow players to go full combo on your turn. But rather 1 or interactions or go full combo for 10 mins with 5+ negates saying break my board. Vs 2-4cards played per turn.

I’m on of the old school ones but stopped playing around when Kozmo format. Tried to make a comeback after a few years, first game in some dytron fairy lock quit again. Made another comeback after a few years, there was 50 different tear lament effects going off the board. I can’t keep up anymore. My favorite era of yugioh was from 2010 to 2016!

My best friend and I just started playing again, and it's old school all the way. We aren't dedicated enough to be good, but we have fun with all the throwback cards.

Nice 6 negate board to bad I opened Dark Ruler, Lightning Storm, and Evenly Matched. If those dont work I also have my copy of Lava Golem. While still having full combo with just one card left in hand.

Ngl I tried both goat and Edison. Ik people feel more comfortable with this format but at the end, we are still trying to combo the shit out of our opponent. The difference, the number of turns and card pool😅
