Serious question: I love Blood Meridian, but there’s something about Cormican that I don’t trust. Now I’m not dumb enough to let that spoil my enjoyment of the novel, but he’s just got a bit too much of himself up him, and while it doesn’t detract from the work, it doesn’t add to it like for instance DFW, or Bukowski.

That book was not good. Terribly passive character who walks up to other characters and receives exposition dumps. It’s a shame that’s his final novel
