Did You Know In MULAN…

There is something in the movie that happens to allude to the legendary title character. Near the beginning of the movie, Mulan watches secretly as her father is performing tai chi with his sword before his leg injury interferes, which is ultimately the linchpin behind her decision to take his place in the army. The tai chi that he is performing actually has a fitting name - it is called Mulan Quan. The practice is actually named after the legendary folk heroine herself.
