Easiest method I’ve seen yet! But I agree that you don’t need the background noise. Good job!!

I guess it's true what people say, the biggest compliment you can get for an idea is, that other people will copy it without mentioning the source.
Thanks a lot, I appreciate it.

I never get tired of watching this. Fits so well you almost don't need glue! Those splines can also be used as a kerf shim when cutting dattos and rabbits.

Genius lies in simplicity - that's why I had to look here to find an easy solution to a hitherto enormous problem. Well done and thanks.

Also perfect for when making half-lap joints and you need a piece of wood the exact thickness of your blade kerf, great video. Thank you.

0:00 That is so simple, clear, effective, it is just breath taking. I can't breathe, I'm so impressed.
You are singlehandedly raising the bar for for woodworkers everywhere. Again ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!

Nice simple method. For those who don't feel comfortable ripping the wood on the sled you can use a square on the fence/non cutting side (parallel to the blade) - but make sure that edge is square first. Safer and deadly accurate.

This is so simple. How did I not think of this?! I'm glad _you_ thought of it, anyway. Next time I need a spline I won't have to worry about the thickness been off. Thanks for sharing this!

Great video and I like this method. It did the job, however my spline wasn’t absolutely consistent the whole way along. Only a very slight taper but one of my corners needed some sawdust and glue to fill. I might experiment with a thicker depth stop block, so when doing the long spline cut, there is more of the stop block to register against to get it absolutely parallel to the blade. My sled is absolutely square, but with 18mm thick stop block, there’s the chance it’s not completely registered at 90 to the fence of the sled/parallel to blade.
