Debates, October Surprises and the Coin-Flip Election
JD Vance and Tim Walz took to the debate stage for a substance-heavy debate that was in contrast, not only to the highly personalized debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris last month but also to all the rancorous presidential debates of the last few election cycles. Still, it's unlikely to make an iota of difference to the outcome of the election now just a month away. So what will decide the outcome of this coin-flip election?

On this episode of the Free Expression podcast, Gerry Baker speaks with veteran pollster and consultant Whit Ayres about whether the polls will be accurate this time, whether Donald Trump is facing not just a gender gap, but a “gender chasm” with women voters, and how much race will be a factor in the 2024 Election.

My thing is that he generalises the minority community. It's just as diverse of oppinions and beliefs as the white majority. And it changes within specific minority groups And a diversity of beliefs within each minority group and in different regions in the country. Race is alot more complex than this expert And a diversity of beliefs within each minority group. He makes alot of assumptions.

Don't know about Whit Ayres ability to take polls, but his ability to INTERPRET the data is very questionable, along with all other such 'pollsters'. The reasons why someone votes a certain way is much more nuanced than what they are ascribing to the results which is why they can't really be used as a reliable means of prediction.

Yes, the college demographic is heavily for Harris. So much for the value of that expensive education. I have an MBA from an Ivy league university and can see clearly that the Dems policies are not good for America. I'm also a woman. Unfortunately more and more women value government-guaranteed security these days.
