The Truth About The Antichrist | 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7 - Who is the Restrainer?

This video answers the question "who is the "he" of 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7?"

Is the "he" the Holy Spirit? Or might the "he" be Michael the Archangel? The answer is no to both of these options. By looking to the grammar and the context of the passage (and also interpreting scripture scripture), this video sufficiently answers this challenge. The restrainer REVEALED!

Very interesting, brother! I used to be pretrib but not so much anymore. I believe that as believers we will have to endure the coming of the mark of the beast. The arguments for pretrib, to me, are very unconvincing. God bless you, brother Donny and keep preaching truth 💪💪💪

Daniel 12:1 "At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people-everyone whose name is found written in the book-will be delivered.” Notice, the protector or restrainer leaves then a terrible time of distress, and then everyone who name is written in the book is delivered.

This was some very convoluted and confusing hermeneutics. It was not a legitimate exegetical analysis of the passage. He makes various statements without actually looking at the details of the text. He tells us what he proclaims the text says rather than just looking word by word at the text. He jumps around the text highlighting this phrase and that phrase while talking and saying things that are not actually related to the phrased being highlighted. Misleading pontificating, not exegesis. To say that the restrainer is the man of sin (antichrist) is an absurdity. The one who is restraining is restraining the coming or revelation of the man of sin. The man of sin cannot be the one restraining himself. You are so adamantly opposed to believing in a pretrib rapture, that you will come up with anything in order to avoid that conclusion. This is a very disturbing stance and a disturbingly sloppy way of handling the scriptures. Just stating "I don't see the restrainer being the Holy Spirit" is not biblical analysis. It is simply stating an opinion.

Who is the one that holds him back? Does Satan have the power to control God‘s timing. Of course not. if a house is divided against itself, it will fall

Well who is the letter to… and who is the “you” he’s talking to….

The revealing of Jesus wont happen until there be a falling away 1st and the man of sin be revealed. Know you know what with holds the coming of Jesus.

The Greek word apostasia simply means to depart. Christians have adopted it to always mean from good doctrines, but it's not necessarily so. So, it technically says that there's simply a departure first.

@Donny @StandinForTruthMinistries Donny, I keep hearing you talk about "grammar" and the antecedent. I'm not educated in Greek, but learned a few things about it, so I'm asking a genuine question, not correcting you. I recently heard that in the Greek, there are markers that indicate who a word refers to regardless of the order of the names. This is how we go from "God was the Word" to "the Word was God" in John 1:1 among other things, and why the English Bible reverses the words, I think.

Do you know about this and does it show anything in the verse you are references if it is there?

Pastor say he “believe” that a Christian cannot be “possessed” but that “satan” can take over those that are not Christian. In other words. Christian follow “god” and most/all the other people are “evil” or “taken over by evil spirit” Another way to question this is. Are “people” or are “demons” responsible for “evil” and bad things. If so where is personal responsibility? If demons or satan possess someone and use them for satan purposes, then is it really “them” or are they doing what demon wants and not what they personally want. Therefore no “real” personal responsibility. “The devil made me do it” would be true and why punish if not their fault. I think personal responsibility is most important and blaming anything on Satan or devil is avoidance of responsibility.

So the NKJV treats the Anti Christ as a God by capitalizing He there. ☹️

Nope . That makes no sense . He is not taken out of the way he's injured as if to death and he is still around after he heals . It doesn't say he dies . Regardless, interesting but pretty weak .

Yall really had to twist that all up to fit what you wanted it to be . That's telling of yall .

The anti Christ is being patient and possessing his vessel rather than just coming when he wants? Forget grammar just look at it with common sense
