Why can't we be more like the people in the past who were, for the most part, satisfied with naming one anti-christ every century. It feels like we get a new one every week these days.

I feel like the Antichrist probably will not have many people accusing them of being the antichrist.

Man you left out Regan. His first, middle, and last name all had 6 letters. Ronald Wilson Reagan. 666 baby. And there were more than a few guys who were serious about that.

I like that people were calling Salahdin the Antichrist just for defending his people's lands

For those of you #curious, "antichrist" comes from the Greek "anti-" meaning "against" and "christos" meaning "the anointed ones". It wasn't used to describe a single individual until long after Nero had died. The theory that "Nero" was "the" Antichrist is a modern construct based on the characters "Nero Caesar" convolutedly "adding up to 666" if you convert them into Hebrew then pray real hard, which doesn't matter because the "Number of the Beast" is "616". It was changed by Jerome to "666" in 405AD to spite the bishops of Constantinople and we have the earlier copies to prove the change.

My 6th grade teacher was one of the meanest people I've ever met. I got strep throat at the end of the school year and we had a science fair exhibit I was supposed to turn in. Feeling like crap I stayed up for 2 days working on it so that I wouldn't miss it. She accused me of having my dad build it (which he didn't). She took me aside to the school office and yelled at me for a very long time and told me I was worthless and would never accomplish anything in life. She gave all the grad students a copy of "Oh the places you will go". In the inscription she wrote about what a terrible person I was. She was most defiantly the anti-Christ.

I remember Barak Obama being on that list. A prominent television preacher said as much.

An antichrist is just a person that claims to be Christ like but does or teaches that which is antithetical to Christ's teaching. So, if there were a leader that say, was boastful about his wealth, encouraged hatred and division, went out of his way to demonize the poor, marginalized, migrants and refugees, and constantly lied, led people to believe he was doing the work of God and mislead millions of Christians into doing the exact opposite of loving thy neighbor, forgiving their enemies, and not judging others....
That person could correctly be called an 'antiChrist'.
