These guys resonate so much with me bc I too came from a very toxic abusive family of origin. The song In my Room was so cathartic for me. I will always love and cherish their music bc it represented peace and wholesomeness for me which I never had growing up all the way into my teenage years. TY BRIAN & the rest of ur brothers.

I saw them in 1964 in my town of Sacramento CA. I understand an album was made of a live concert here so I must have been at that one. I was 16 and they were perfect. I did not care for the Beatles who showed up that same year. Still love The Beach Boys and all their music. So good to see them so young.

jan 15, 2025 NC at 23°. this song reminds me of summers i spent in hollywood and the warm afternoons driving around to coffee shops or movie theatres in the early 2000's. when the world made sense and everything wasn't so upside down and backward. it warms me to my soul as a reminder of better times. i miss LA so much and ill never forget the 13 beautiful years i spent in LA.

a fun fact!
last summer I went to a beach boys concert with my great uncle, and as they were walking down the aisle to the stage in the middle I shook hands with one of them. It’s hard to believe I shook hands with someone on this video.
