Ada Lovelace is the codename for a graphics processing unit (GPU) microarchitecture developed by Nvidia as the successor to the Ampere architecture, officially announced on September 20, 2022. It is named after English mathematician Ada Lovelace who is often regarded as the first computer programmer. Nvidia announced the architecture along with the new GeForce 40 series consumer GPUs and the RTX 6000 Ada Generation pro workstation graphics card. The new GPUs were revealed to use TSMC's new 5 nm "4N" process which offers increased efficiency over the previous Samsung 8 nm process used by Nvidia for consumer GPUs.

The 4080 is a great card, but over price. But if you have a 3090 ti already, it's definitely not worth the upgrade. Keep up the good work, my friend. 👏👍🏾

If you dont have a 30 series card yet, the 4080 is definitely a better buy. $100 is not much to also get dlss3.0 and better RT... Plus longer driver support and lower power bills is a bonus

Keep the 3090 Ti if you have one as switching to this for an extra about 20% performance boost is not worth it.

I see many people saying that getting the 4080 over the 3090ti is not worth it but as someone who has used both I have to respectfully disagree. The 4080 uses 200 watts less on average which will save a lot of money over time and also outputs much less heat. However, I encourage that people wait for it to drop in price a bit.
