I've purchased the orx, and I can say with out any doubt my equinox 800 will now be my back up machine. The orx is so sharp and fast. The x35 coil is really good. For me the screen is nice and clear to see with my bifocals, you can backlight the screen if you want to that makes it a little brighter.

I’ve been using a Nox for years.
She speaks to me..
But I have been looking at picking up the ORX for the exact reasons you pointed out.

Great video !! The ORX is lite and tight, for me I have strong arms and I swing all day long and my other detectors as the day wears on I have to switch arms so I was very pleased to get a machine like this !! Thanks again for your thoughts very helpful ! lets finish this year off bang !!!

I literally have no negatives for the ORX. I love it. It's my first detector, and likely stays the only detector I own. The price is not even a negative for what you get.

Thanks Rob! I’m thinking of getting an ORX and this helped out. I use a simplex right now.

The deus, but the orx too, are brilliant .

Settings wise they are both fun too use but what impressed me the most was hoe fast they are..

And the way you can swing it .
Just like you said in your video..

It is a sniper and i know for sure that once made some hours on it, you will nit go back to any other brand .

Brilliant sticks, really.

I have both the ORX and equinox 800. the equinox has been used for gold prospecting, but I prefer the ORX it is better in mineralized soil. I prefer the ORX for water hunting, found 8 rings last week. But for parks the nox wins with me, the ORX cannot separate the trash as well unless I move real slow, and yes I hate the volume on the ORX as well. I also have bifocals, but have no problems with the ORX screen. I also hate only 3 tones on the ORX. You will find that plug you bought will fall out, (I was selling them on Ebay) i've now made a stand that fits where you put the plug, when you are prospecting the ORX tends to fall over, I have already scratched the screen 1.5 years old, not is now 3, would buy them both over, good luck and happy hunting.

Another awesome video. Thanks for doing these. Metal detecting with you daughter is priceless. Now that i have 2 detectors (Simplex & Nox 800) I am trying to get any one of my 2 sons to go with me but so far no luck. Now I am working on my granddaughter :)

New sub brother! I'm about to switch over from a Minelab Vanquish 540 to the XP ORX. I've been really impressed with the ORX especially with the HF coil! I hunt old coal company towns and woods which I believe will be perfect hunting grounds for the ORX & HF coil!
Great video brother and thanks for helping reinforce what I already thought! The ORX is a beastie little detector and will be perfect for my needs!

Hi sir from England its good to see your daughter interested there . I would like to tell you that one cannot detect in parks in England the local councils will not allow it they see it as vandalism to the green even if you replace the plugs and leave no trace . So i tend to go to farm land and have found some great roman coins and artifacts ie broaches . Regards

I swing both the Nox 800 and the Deus. I sold my CTX 3030. I am very happy with this combination

I have the xp deus hf and the nox 800 there both great the deus is well made and fits in a back pack the nox is awkward the shaft is lousy but the thing is great once you get used to it and buy a decent shaft and coil ear stiffener

Mine lab just did update three for the equinox and they added 4 kHz which is great now I’d like to see them go to the other end of the spectrum and give us a 50 kHz for gold prospecting, unless circuitry cannot handle it.

I subbed you some time ago, I am still glad that I did. Your videos are, in my opinion, really very good indeed. I enjoy your non-bias outlook. For me, a 'brand bigot' bores me shitless. I totally see your points of view regarding up-grading from Simplex to 800 and ORX. I'd love NM to release a continuous multi-frequency MD. Why? Because I seriously value a rugged MD, and as you so rightly say, NM is up there with the 'Big Boys and Girls'... ps, I'd also love it if FTP went C M F, again. FTP have the engineering brilliance in depth, a great pedigree, and the facilities: after all, the F75 set the bench mark for all single frequency 'High End' MDs to aspire to, many long moons ago. FTP seem more interested in following the super multi million dollar US military contract road, with their highly advanced night vision production ...I hope that they 'make me eat crow'!
