Sir Alastair Cook, I remember when England came to India for a test series, which they won, in 2012. He was the top run scorer. He was the reason why India lost. He stayed there and cracked huge runs with the bat of his. Not only that he was the top run scorer in the Ashes which England won in Australia back then. Along with Ian Bell he is the mainstay in the batting unit. Absolutely phenomenal. He was an important member of that No.1 test team of England during early 2010s.

Cook had the most simple technique. He never used to be complicated like others and his limited range of options gave him complete clarity.

He would either just block the ball, or drive it straight, off and on sides or just cut and pull thats it nothing else. Other batters kind of complicate their batting style, but simplicity was all it needed.

Amazing batter. Scored runs for fun and everywhere. I simply remember his 2009-2013 form. Bro was almost impossible to get out.

His 200 at the Gabba in 2010,
His 186 at Ahmedabad in 2012,
His 109 at Kingston in 2009,
