Russia attracts tourists despite global isolation

Amid international isolation, Russia is still able to attract foreign tourists and that number is constantly growing. The capital Moscow plays an important role in attracting tourists from overseas and becoming the gateway to trips deeper inside Russia. And as travelling abroad has become more problematic and expensive for Russians, domestic tourism is breaking records, with 78 million trips made inside Russia last year. Dasha Chernyshova has the story.

“Global isolation” just means western isolation. The rest of the world isn’t interested. They are happy to deal with the Russians normally.
And given that most economic growth is now coming from the rest of the world, Russia should pivot to attracting trade and tourism with those countries.

Russia isn't globally isolated to begin Foolish US (on the West vasall states) imposed sanctions. I went to Russia for the first time this year and was more than impressed .... Westerner here...

Russia & Belarussia has so much CULTURE! we went this summer with my daughter: everyday various theaters, circus, wind tube flying, aquaparks and water slides, amusement parks, no homless and NO MARIHUANA smell on the streets (we are from California), cable rides, big (Bolyshoi) theater, painting gallery (tretyakovka) and etc. My daughter asked me to purchase an apartment in Moscow and to move there and that she might go to the Unversity MGU; she is 12 and in 9th grade right now, in 4 years she will be done with High School; she is fluent (can read, write and speak) in 3 languages: English, Russian, and Spanish. I will just follow and support her in her decisions.

Western pressure can only go so far. There are many countries that are not the West and their people go to Russia. And why shouldn't they? Forget politics. Russia is beautiful, and has so much history, so many traditions, such a rich culture that the US will never have. The world is tired of Americans telling everyone what they can or can't do. Just mind your business and let others live as they see fit.
