I have only tried Turkish Delight once, during university. I was taking a course called "The Bible and the Arts" and we read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe...so naturally our professor brought in Turkish Delight for the class to sample.

Every creator acts unrealistically calm while baking something new and you’re just keeping it real

Tip - if you dust with a combination of icing sugar & cornflour (just like with marshmallows) it won’t melt into it and disappear so readily 😘

Good job! I’m Turkish and I never thought that “Lokum” could be made at home 😂
Btw, there’s some fillings you could try like hazelnut or pistachio (a.k.a the original lokum)
Have fun and keep us updated please! 🎉

When I was a child I watched a children’s play of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” And in the play they actually had a fake turkey dinner on a platter, because everyone, including the director of the children’s play apparently, thought it was “turkey delight.” 😂

Nice to know it’s chaotic for you too when making new recipes 😂 I thought it was just us newbies 😊 Great job!

looks great, nice job.
I tell my daughter that Turkish delight is the grandpa of todays' Haribo :)
As an American-turkish person I also prefer it with lots of nuts, especially pistachios, hazelnuts etc. Hope to make it one day with the help of your video.

I love any kind of Turkish Delight, chocolate covered or the authentic stuff, the Rose and Lemon flavours are my fave, you did so well Tigga, I'm far too lazy, I'll just sit here and watch your marvellous creations, I usually hate voice-overs, they are so fake, bur yours was funny 😁 😋

O my mouth is watering, could smell and taste it, just watching you create this masterpiece … I loooove Turkish Delight. I am so glad I had real good Turkish Delight my first time . Some people get the bad made ones and think thats how it tastes like… I’ve had bad one’s too, now I finally got the right brands and wow.🇿🇦🌹🍋

Turkish delights are available at any local Arab, desi, or Muslim market. Every halal meatshop would typically have it because they usually have a grocery section (just call beforehand and ask)

I made it for the first time a few weeks ago. A rose water one and orange blossom one. It was easy but time consuming!! I also thought I didn't like turkish delight based on a chocolate bar (big turk). I made my batches for the senior residence at my place of work.

Just want to wish you a happy birthday today on December 25th 2022. I watched your video on your birthday tree and wrote a little message about my birthday and how my experience is not the same as yours for have a Birthday close to Christmas. I believe your parents made it very clear the difference between Christmas and your birthday. You grew up knowing the difference and feeling they made it important to celebrate. Good for your parents by the way.
