This is the first time I experience Turkish food culture in Istanbul Turkey. They say Istanbul is the food capital of Turkey, so I have to really find out by myself.

Is Turkish food delicious? What to eat while visiting Istanbul, Turkey? In this video - I share my thought about Turkish food as I tried some of the strange, famous, and most traditional Turkish food in Istanbul, Turkey (specifically in Karakoy and Kadikoy neighborhood)

This video reveals one of the most epic experience I had in Istanbul so far as I explored deep into the local experience and food culture - you will get to explore with me the highlight of Turkish cuisine as I get a chance to taste various different Turkish food including Balık Dürüm, Baklava, Ayran, Adana kebab, Istanbul hawker rice-stuffed mussels (midye dolmas) and Kokorec (Lamb intestine)

What more of authentic Turkish food I should try in my lifetime ? - You tell me:)

Turkish food list I eat in Istanbul
⇢ Spicy Balık Dürüm in Karaköy, Istanbul - (Fish wrap)
Location: Hur Super Mario (near Galata bridge)

⇢ Baklava in Karaköy, Istanbul - a layered pastry dessert made of filo pastry, filled with chopped nuts, and sweetened with syrup or honey. It was one of the most popular sweet pastries of Ottoman cuisine
Location: Koskeroglu (Köşkeroğlu Restaurant & Baklava)

⇢ Ayran - Ayran, doogh, Dhallë, or tan is a cold savory yogurt-based beverage. The principal ingredients are yogurt, water, and salt.
Location: I drank for free at my friend's apartment, but you can get Ayran at any convenience store, supermarket or even some Turkish restaurants

⇢ Adana Kebab - Adana kebabı is a long, hand-minced meat kebab mounted on a wide iron skewer and grilled on an open mangal filled with burning charcoal.
Location: Sorry, I can't reveal the location

⇢ Doner Kebab - Doner kebab is a type of kebab, made of meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie.
Location: Park Buffe (nearby Galata bridge)

⇢ Istanbul hawker rice-stuffed mussels (midye dolmas)
Location: Reks Kokorec (Kadikoy, Istanbul)

⇢ Kokorec (Lamb intestine)
Location: Reks Kokorec (Kadikoy, Istanbul)

More to try:

Tantuni
Gözleme
Kumpir
Lahmacun
Pide
Ciğ köfte

Desserts:
Künefe
Sütlaç
Tavuk göğsü

Drinks:
Salep
Boza

And if we include more home-made type foods, OMG! Those are insanely delicious! You can find small “lokantas” selling that type of food, specially try the ones made with olive oil, super healthy, tasty and of course are different from the famous street foods.

For example:

Biber dolması
Yaprak sarması
Zeytin yaplı pırasa
Barbunya (one of my favorites)
Zeytin yağlı patlıcan
Zeytin yağlı Taze fasulye
And the list can keep going on 😍

Love how you're getting more views than your last channel is getting now with less than a 10th of the subscribers! Shows the content you create is truly quality 😁

Nobody talks about olive oil foods which is inherently vegan and delicious

Turkish food 🔥🔥 kebabs and baklava are so tasty you should try the baklava with Turkish coffee.. Angelique used to work in Dubai so she spoiled me with tons of Turkish imports because of the large Turkish community and influence there. ❤️

Dont get me wrong but just a minor correction: 5:58 Never seen a single person puts rice into the wrap before, we don't do that, I am turkish 100%. (And it looks better when you use fork, right? :P)

6:54 that wasn't Bulgur my dear (I think he said Baldo rice, which is the type of rice used for Turkish rice), it's classic buttery Turkish rice with Orzo

Regarding ayran, it is the most amazing thirst quencher in super hot or humid summer days. Chilled ayran is the best.
