Advanced Ballet Class - Barre | Kathryn Morgan

This is an advanced ballet barre workout for dancers who are ready to push themselves. This ballet class will help you build strength, technique, and musicality. This barre can be done on pointe if you like - but only for advanced pointe students. Being a ballerina requires an enormous amount of ballet training, so I hope these exercises can help you get there. Remember - no ballet class should be too "easy" - even if it is under your current level, there is always something to work on!

I didn't notice how much I was getting better at ballet until now that I see I can do all this stuff. Definitely thanks Kathryn, you have been so helpful and inspirational since I started❤

I love how our bodies change even as we are in the process of taking class! Our ribs lift up and away from our hips, thinning our waists a bit and making it easier to take deeper breaths. Our hips open more as our glutes lift and round, and our hamstrings pull up, allowing our hip flexors to release. Our shoulders draw down, our necks lenthen and our backs open. No worries, no cloudy thoughts, just in-the-moment presence. Love.
No wonder we are so happy to take class!!
Thank you for sharing this class with us, Kathryn. You are a generous teacher.

I love it how you're not trying to be super happy or apologise for the little mistakes during the balances etc. You're your true self and that's the reason I love your videos so much plus they're very helpful and informative. Btw you remind me of my ballet teacher especially with the face expression at the end XP She too throws big smiles after showing us new, harder combinations. Love from Finland <3

I love the speed that you teach, not too much talking and we keep moving; thank you so much for doing these <3

When I am on my toes I fall down easily and so my teacher said to be an uncooked noodle instead of a cooked noodle (idek😂😂😂) so I always think BE THE NOODLE, BE THE NOODLE! NO! DON'T COOK!!!

I was a dancer through all of high school, and then made a hard choice between a career i was passionate about (physical therapy) and continuing to be a dancer. I chose to continue a bit of dancing for my sanity in undergrad but then I just continued to be someone who just loves dance and also loves to workout. I love your videos even though I was NEVER close to your level (I probably could have completed this in high school when i was in "the thick of it" but never after). You are beautiful to watch, great to listen to and very inspiring! Keep it up katie!!

Thank you so much for this fantastic barre! I'm training pre-professionally at the moment and a lot of the time on my own unfortunately, so it was lovely to have some company with perfect teaching pace and level. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Thanking you, Kathryn! 🙏💪💫

I tried this class when I first found Kathryn Morgan on youtube and I couldn't get through it. So I went back and worked my way up from the easy stuff to the more challenging. Today ... not only did I get through it but I had a much better understanding and was able to follow along at a much better pace! Yay for progress!!
