Well great another journal to add to my house built from journals and notepads.

I also can pretty much only write in all caps. Not because of school, but because of the military. In security logbooks, all caps reduces any risk of ambiguity, so they enforced that, and that was basically all the physical writing I ever did was military documents.

I like how they made 'me' bold in themesystem, so it kind of reads as: The Me System

8:14 Correction, Quebec takes at least *two weeks off* every summer. Merci buckets, my Quebec colleagues. Real helpful guys.🤣 /s (for those not familiar, Canadians like to jab at each other, especially Quebec vs. Ontario. It's all good fun unless it's a hockey game or someone can't speak French properly)

Stumbled on this channel during a lunch break and looking up “brutalist architecture.” Discovered that this channel is so much deeper and interesting. Nice channel.

To get dust off of alcantara type surfaces, use a lil fabric cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Dust will no longer be a problem.

That’s really helpful, I’ve got one but struggled to make it work. Feel inspired now.

I love this idea but I struggle to stay on topic for one week let alone one year. At the minute I'm just trying to plan two months ahead but even that is tough.

about the "whoops we forgot a little detail"... yeah.. sometimes its far beyond that. when my workplace got renovated, they screwed up so many things.. the facility next to us.. same thing. you cheap out, you dont check on the cheap labor, you plan sloppy, you get to pay twice, thrice or even more times. some examples: our building is a large rectangle, with the staircases on both short ends. the long sides are rooms as well as the middle, thus we have two corridors. they build a new cooler room into the middle and when it was done, someone noted that "well, it opens on BOTH corridors and thus it needs to have fireproof doors!" (to prevent firespread) yeah.. you can only wonder that nobody looked at the plans and said "oh it connects both corridors, maybe we should check regulations". another example nearly adjacent to the cooler room. they renovated a door. they broke out the old frame, build a new wall frame and then got the door and it was like 10cm to large in each dimension. like wtf. did nobody measured this before or looked at what door should be put into that hole? or interior wise.. we work with chemicals and got "stainless" steel. it stains literally from pure water. its like anti-stainless steel. it rusts from the slightest amounts of corrosive chemicals EVEN with pouring water directly afterwards. another example would be our top cupboards. since you need to be safe at your workplace, we have railing supported ladders, but most ladders were slightly to long / the railhooks were mounted to low, so they prevented one of the doors from opening, thankfully they build mostly two door cupboards with a rubber gasket... yeah.. so you need to open the right door first, then get down, move the ladder, climb back up, open the other door... yeah.. thats when the people planning dont work with what they are planing for and have no idea. i did that for like a week and then i ripped out all the rubber gasket from ALL the cupboards in the whole lab.

the other facility.. gosh dont get me started... plugged or misdirected piping. piping that was wrongly connected (i.e. steam run into water pipes), dead pipes that werent connected at all, non-load bearing walls where there should be and vice versa. it keeps going.

TLDR: measure at least twice, cut once. (i.e. talk to the people you are planning for, double and tripple check, let other people check it as well. better invest an hour more in the beginning, than to waste days afterwards.
