In this tutorial I will show you how I converted my DIY 3D Printed Arduino based SCARA robot arm that I built in one of my previous videos to work as a laser engraver.

This channel have come a long way in terms of video quality and other aspects and I've learned a lot of things here and I'd love it if you could recreate your old arduino basic tutorials, Thanks for what you've shared with all of us and I hope you'll keep going

At this rate, your SCARA robot will be making your meals for you soon enough!

It’s great that you keep your collaboration with Dassault Systèmes to produce your legendary content. I can tell you that your rover video has had a great success among DS Enovia engineers. 👍

These are projects that I can do with my son!
Congratulations for the excellent channel and content!

Thanks man! You rock! I've been hoping for solid works to be more affordable.

With this laser power you should think about some enclose, it is enough to irreversible damage your eye within a glimpse.
Also a fume extraction would be good because of the toxic gases and particles.
Greets from an engineer who works everyday with lasers.

Incredible! This must be one of a kind? I've never seen this type of laser before, this has capabilities that no other laser has :-)

You could apply s-curves to the motion to control a lil bit the backlach of the belts and smooth out the trajectory.

Can you do an indepth inverse kinematics explanation? Showing the steps how to derive the equations and perhaps doing another example for other robot design would be very nice!

Just an idea I had after watching the start of your video, you say you dont need the 4th rotary axis on the end effector as you are mounting the laser there.
Most of the lower cost diode lasers dont have round beam shapes and they give a rectangular beam spot, as a result you find they will give higher power when travelling along that narrower axis.
My thought is if you used the rotary axis to turn the laser head you could keep it aligned along that axis to maximize power, most important when cutting with the laser.
My other thought was this may not be too difficult if you processed the file to be used as though it was to done with a drag knife engraver ? maybe there is already software that will keep the head aligned for that purpose ?

Anyway nice project !

Please make a 3D printer version video off this sacara robot.

Getting rid off from the traditional 3d printer's small printing area besides occupying big place problems can be solven by this.
