I attempt to make a game in one hour…

The rules are simple. I have one hour (60 minutes) to make a game and all the artwork. And, per usual, I’ll be using the Godot Game Engine as my weapon of choice for this game Dev challenge. Will I be able to finish in time? What sort of game will I create...Find out now, in this latest devlog adventure.

Special thanks to my boy, @barj

Great video, I loved everything about it! - Glad you went back to polish the game, always think these challenges create some really interesting things that no one goes back and polishes!

You've hit your comedic zenith in this episode. Your editing, dialogue, comedic timing and pacing were all on-point.
Only showing your face briefly for some pointed humor worked well. (I know it's controversial: some people like seeing the developer's face and some don't; I usually don't, but if you can pull it off, well. . . .)

Great work, and I hope this video gets many thousands of views.

I tried this once and…. it didn’t go so well. It’s harder than you’d think to make a working game in a short amount of time. Great video 🙂

Wow, the editing was really awesome, Goodgis😁
The game definitely looks quite fun! Great job on getting all that done in basically 2 hours :D

(also I love how Barji has become "the discord person" in videos😂

I always love to see your videos, they inspire me and i absolutely love your minimalist art style.
If you were to disapoint me i wouldn't have to worry about going to hell because it froze over.

This is such a great video! I should really try this myself. I love the game because my favourite genre of games is 2D platforms. The first game I even played was Oddworld: Abe's Odesty and its one of my favourite games because it takes on the 2D platform genre but without guns.

dude... my guy... why do you do this to yourself lol. i mean, i'm impressed you could bang out a playable prototype in only an hour -- even if it wasn't "good" per say -- but damn, that's some next level shit. i laughed when you got caught up in the design for the art assets because, honestly? same. why struggle to hunt down a typo in your code thats breaking your entire project when you can mess around with finalizing a really nice character design instead? lmfao
