2025 Volkswagen Amarok : stronger and better than the truck
Показать описание
Volkswagen Argentina released the first official picture of the Amarok for the South American market. The Amarok is an updated version of the 2009 pickup truck that first came out. At the Pacheco Industrial Center in Argentina, work on the truck has already begun. But even though the company calls it the "third-gen" VW Amarok, it's really just a more complete makeover of the first version. The second-generation VW Amarok is already on the market in Europe and Australia. It shares its chassis with the Ford Ranger. We now have a better look at the design of the South American-spec Amarok thanks to a new picture that was stolen from the factory floor. There are some small changes to the truck's profile, but the front end has been completely remade to look more like new VW models. The most impressive thing about the new front end is the full-width LED bar and modern headlights built into the new grille. The bumper has more curves than before, and the openings make it look like the smaller VW Saveiro truck. We might also see new designs on the metal wheels. Changes to the back should be small, mostly focusing on the graphics on the taillights.VW didn't say much about the technical side of it, but it's possible that it will keep the old Amarok's ladder-frame chassis. The small logo on the hood makes it look like the 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 engine and the smaller 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine will be kept.
The big changes to the way it looks could come with a new chassis setup and some new technology inside the car. VW is likely to keep making the truck in both single-cab and double-cab styles.
We'll find out more about the new VW Amarok in Latin America at its official launch in the next few weeks or months. Since the first Amarok came out, Volkswagen has made more than 740,000 units at the Pacheco plant. About 65% of those are exported outside of Argentina.
