That landcruiser has been known to pull semi trucks. I like how it was toying with the Amarok, allowing to be pulled backwards, then kicking into gear and hauling the Amarok into opposite direction.

Love all the comments about engine size. traction and gearing are the only thing that matters here. You could have put a 454 supercharged big block in the VW and results would not have changed. A set of off-road tyres and some weight in the tray might have though.
Regardless, the Toyota will still be going strong in 10 years while the VW will have become someone's money pit or a source of iron for the plants where it was dumped.

There is no comparison (or competition for that matter) to the Cruiser.

Man, the V6 Fortuner has the same engine as the V6 Land Cruiser 70 series but slightly more hp. It would destroy that Volkswagen
