I'm a truck driver. Sometimes, this is the only chance I get to eat something. I know it's not ideal, and I will eat something small that isn't hot. We have to keep up with tacho regulations while maintaining high workloads for the companies we work for, so most of us have to work through our breaks to keep to schedules and tacho driving times. Nobody wants to eat while driving, and it's an absolute god send when you get a day where your workload is reasonable enough for you to actually take your break. This guy probably doesn't do this all the time and got caught on the day he did. It's not an excuse, but if folk could understand, we don't mean to look careless. I'm multidrop plant machinery. In 10 hrs, I'm expected to do my pre checks on my truck and trailer (which I do everyday) do 13 deliveries across the northwest. I average 400-700 miles per day, and for each job, you have to speak with the customer to get information on your drop. Then, when my trailer is empty, I have to collect off hired machinery until the trailer is full. Drop them off at our depo, then head back out to do the same while keeping up with tacho regs. Most of us work 60+ hours per week and then go home and deal with bills, family our home, etc. Really isn't for the faint-hearted we are asleep for most of our days off. Sorry for the rant. I hate seeing truck drivers get stick. If that was a beer in his hand, i would have a different opinion

That's NOT a problem. Driving up next to someone and staring at them while recording them is a problem. Worry about drivers under the influence or with cellphones
