In the 70s here in the Netherlands hundreds of children died in traffic due to the increase in car usage. People got angry and started the ‘stop kindermoord’ protest. (Stop child m u r d e r) The government took action and now the Netherlands has the safest cycling infrastructure with just 10 children dying in traffic a year. (7 on bikes and 3 in car accidents)

They have no intention of allowing gun control. Some states advocate for mass shootings to replace baseball as the national pastime while we who are abroad ask why is this only in America? Those of us who are from there, already know the answer. We just get tired of having to repeat the hopeless response.

A great irony about the US is that far more of its citizens wear their Christian faith openly on their sleeves than do people of Faith in other western-style democracies, yet they behave in a more unchristian way than the others do. In the US, rights are stated as paramount. Elsewhere, responsibilities are primary.

How many children would have died in Uvalde if the shooter didn't have a gun. And there is the answer to the problem. And it adheres to Accams Razor theory which states that the simplest solution is usually the best solution!
