I had XP until, maybe, 2010 when my mom had my computer upgraded to Windows 7. Windows 7 is good, but I miss XP. It was sad when my uncle got this message...

I remember getting on windows xp back in 2nd grade. Im in 9th grade now and we use windows 7 enterprise.

Oh Windows XP, I can't believe your time has finally come to an end. I still remember the very first time I laid eyes on you I was in 5th grade and they were setting up a new computer for my classroom. I instantly fell in love with your rich colors and UI. Sometimes I really miss those Windows 9x - XP days where computers were actually used for computing/productivity, where there was no twitter, facebook, Instagram, and you connected to the internet via AOL ("you've got mail!") there was no tablet/modernUI, and where "Apps" were called "programs" or "software". ....at least I still have my Windows 7 for now.

There is no way I'll ever upgrade to 8.1, no matter how much Microsoft tries to shove it down my throat, its not beause of the lack of the Start menu, it just simply that I dont like the ModernUI yes it may be faster (and many of you will try to defend it) but I just dont like the feel of Windows 8 (8.1) it feels like its "dumbed down".

I was 4 ish every morning i would gp straight to YT on XP it ran just smoothly i always loved the log off it sounded like "Ill see u later Buddy :) to me good times...

I remember when my school computers had those really thick screens with Xp and then they upgraded the computers however they still used XP, I remember how fast I thought it was from waiting 2 mins to load Internet to 1mins

this is really sad, at my old school we had loads of computers running XP for some reason when we got new computers (Toshiba, 2014) they were running Windows XP
