The End of an Era – Windows XP has lost its last official support

Today, Windows Embedded POSReady 2009, the last version of Windows to be based on Windows XP, has received its final update. It is its End of Support Date today. While Windows XP was officially unsupported five years ago from yesterday (April 8, 2014), users could use a Registry Tweak to get updates for the OS through Windows Embedded POSReady 2009.
In this context, no support means no security updates from Microsoft, which are becoming more and more important as cyberattacks get more and more prevalent. If you want to use a secure computer, or if you still want to use Windows XP – but securly – what can you do? This video contains my recommendations.

At least Windows XP and Server 2003's legacy is being carried on in ReactOS, a Linux-based OS that's supposed to be compatible with NT 5.x, or at least Server 2003 software.
...If only it weren't still in alpha.

that doesnt stop me from using win xp on my retro machines (even online!)... i have been using it since i was a kid in the mid 2000s and its actually still pretty usable for a os that is 17 years old and out of official support since 2014

Well, farewell completely to Windows XP, the first operating system I remember using, while I hated Vista and loved 7, 8 (It was better on tablets), and think 10's good and bad at the same time (the good being dark mode, ability to open Metro apps on the desktop, and the clipboard history feature, and the bad was update glitches and the long introduction my school library hates), Well, It was fun while it lasted, even though I use Windows 10 (1809; the newer version of it that doesn't delete documents) now, I never had a better Windows experience than XP (no pun intended) and 7. Well, Sam (SAPI4 and 5), it was fun while it lasted. Otherwise, Sam (SamDrew9001), how did you feel about this whole eXPerience (This time a pun was intended).
