Absolutely love it. If I had had an art teacher like you in school I definitely would not have ended up hating it so much and would actually have learned something and found my passion for creativity much sooner. Thank You!

I especially love the charcoal powder/paintbrush technique. I'm also eager to try the black colored pencil for those deeper darks. Thank you!

I like that flipping the drawing idea, I know sometimes I just get too zoned out looking at the drawing and I go detail blind... flipping a photo of it might help me out with this.

Thank you Kirsty. That was the finest collection of absolutely exceptional and essential tips for drawing with pencil that I’ve seen in my 61 years. There were points in your presentation that I was already aware of as a watercolour and oil artist fumbling along for many a year now, but I learned so many vital and important tips that are going to revolutionise and massively and positively impact my art that I am quite pleasantly astounded. Just as important as listening to the your lovely and soothing voice and the important information that you conveyed, watching your hands as they moved across the paper, how you so deftly jut touched and caressed the graphite away when doing the light strands, and laying in the darker tones with the coloured pencil, wow, again, I learned so much about the actual technique by just watching your hands work so easily and so brilliantly. I’ll leave it there for you but really wanted to say thank you and share my hope for your best as you’ve inspired and taught me an incredible amount this morning as I had my breakfast here in Sydney, brilliant girl, thank you so much 😎👍

I love my tombow mono eraser too, it's so versatile and you can use it with many mediums. I also like the hack of using your pencils to help with drawing proportions, I do that a lot too. I enjoy watching these types of videos as you never what technique you might learn that's really helpful :)

Girl you are amazing! I've been on the front page of the paper like three times. And you cold literally draw circles around me! I stopped doing art years ago, after someone broke into my cabin and stole all of my art supplies, air brushes, oils..well everything! So thousands! That and I was about the same time in a horrible accident that broke my back! So was a bit jaded for sometime! But after watching you late last night I thought it's time to get back to it! It was something I did that I really enjoyed! So thank you for sharing your wonderful art! Instant follower from me! God bless you! I shouldn't have let the thieves still some of my joy too! XO

That black coloured pencil tip is gold! I'm literally working on a drawing right now that requires a lot of darkness in the background and I was just gonna use my 8B because I hate charcoal, it's too messy, or I'm too careless with it. But I'm gonna get a black coloured pencil and see how that works. Thanks, Kirsty!

I’m just getting started again & I’m glad I came across this. I’m struggling with detail & depth but have a hodgepodge of everything.

Soft pastel: I struggle with fine details. Colored pencils: struggle with depth & blending them well. Now I can’t wait to mix my mediums together & see what I can do. Each one has strengths & weaknesses. I can’t wait to try out all your tips

I`d love to see someone go over how to get a nice shiny effect when coloring cars.
Getting that reflective shiny look, I struggle so much to understand it.

If anyone in the comments have any advice, I`d be very thankful☺️

These methods are fantastic!! Thank you for sharing.

Years ago I learned to take a drawing or painting to a mirror if I felt like something was off. Taking pictures works of course but a mirror is pretty fast too
