y’all listen to my sis!! every point is accurate, especially that 4th point. Have fun, but focus on your education and do your assignments first cuz ppl really do be lying! Don’t think you’re vibing with someone over not doing an assignment, whole time they be in their books.

As someone who is transferring to a university after graduating from community college, I needed to hear this!

Thank you so much for the last key point. It was very touching and realistic, you don't want to loose yourself in all the midst of trying to live a "lit college" life cause after all that is said and done who are you as an individual apart from all of that stuff. Your amazing Gina God loves you and may He continue to bless you, thank you for the video and I'm looking forward to more.

100% agree you should consider the lifestyle you want. I grew up watching Dr.G and for years told myself I would be a medical examiner like her one day.
Got older and released not only is that a minimum 14 years of training/education but also massive debt and the lifestyle isn’t as flexible as I’d like.
I still love medicine so I decided on nursing because the degree is very versatile, great money, and I can become a Medical Examiner Nurse and essentially do what it was I originally wanted to do anyway.

I go to a community college and I wish I had learn to pick a major that aligned with me instead of what I thought was best.Your right about boys and it makes me glad that after I graduated high school I stopped looking for the one and started to focus on my education

Heavy on the friend groups in college. I graduated years ago & that was one of the biggest lessons… Also I’ll leave with this Balance… it is the keyword balance out choosing a career, balance out work and play… Learn it and it will get you further…

I’m a second year sophomore at my college and am starting to branch out more especially as an autistic Black woman. It’s hard but I want to do more this coming up Fall semester! For those who are neurodivergent or autistic, if you need a sensory break, try to go to the library or somewhere quiet that gives you some self regulation. If your professors don’t know about your accommodations, make a brief list of them if you can and email them or hand them a paper with the ones you have that they may not know about. If you want to get out and be in college events, start small.

I feel you! Thanks for sharing your perspective. College friendships and other relationship connections don't always plan out to be what you expect. I went in thinking I was going to make friends for a lifetime and found my husband instead.

I touched on some similar points in my college advice video. I'm glad we can now share this type of advice with others so that they hopefully don't make some of those mistakes.

hi everybody :) if you are planning to immediately declare your major as acting, musical theatre, or something else in the performing arts, make sure you know the school's audition guidelines. because they will have you do an audition.

some of the advice i had received was to go to a party either before classes start or during welcome week. if you like them, continue to go to them in moderation so you can also focus on schoolwork. if you hate them, you'll know that college parties aren't for you (there are other ways to make friends and have fun anyway)! at least you won't regret not having fun at parties once you get further into your college career.

Loved this video can't wait for the series I'm entering my sophomore year of college I slacked off my freshman year as well and drifted very far from God and got caught up in the party life. Luckily over the summer I have gotten closer to God and have become more grounded hopefully I don't lose sight of that as I start back next week.
