I was in the audience on this day. It was my first big stadium concert, but not my last. Brian wasn't exactly on top form that day, but that's completely understandable, given the emotion of the day. The whole thing was an unforgettable experience.

Believe it or not, this was the first time Queen performed "I want it all" in concert... It was a hit that Queen recorded in 1989 and they couldn't perform it live because of Freddie Mercury's illness.
Now, we have it live w/ 2 legends - Guitarist Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath and vocalist Roger Daltrey of The Who 🤘🤘🔥🔥

One of the best performances from that concert.

Tony's guitar sounds monumental.

Must watch Queen & George Michael - Somebody To Love from the same tribute concert. No one will ever replace Freddie Mercury but George Michael comes pretty damn close!

When Queen released the DVD of the tribute concert they only included the second half. The first half included the likes of Metallica, Def Leppard, Extreme, Spinal Tap & Guns N Roses doing mini sets. Videos exist on YouTube and they are worth checking out. I was in the crowd that day and really wasn't all that interested in GnR, but have to admit their set was very good (I think Axl was on his best behaviour as he was a big Queen fan). But when the second half started the atmosphere changed. The intro to Tie Your Mother Down kicked in and if felt as if the whole of Wembley Stadium bounced in time. Along with this track it was also the first time any of us heard Innuendo live. It was a real shame that Robert Plant's microphone didn't seem to work very well during that performance.

Behind the scenes video includes interviews with some of the artists who commented on how well the remaining members of Queen coped because many of the artists performing needed to have the key changed down because they couldn't match Freddie's range. The only exception, I think, was George Michael. His rendition of Somebody to Love was magnificent.

4:20 - Brian was also considered one of Queen's vocalists, as is Roger Taylor. Obviously not the lead singer, as that was Freddie's role. But the two (Brian and Roger) have songs entirely sung by them, in addition to providing backing vocals on Queen's entire repertoire. Another interesting fact is that Brian and Tony Iommi are great friends for a long time (since the 70s).

I'm about 5 rows from the stage. Was such an awesome day with the most amazing lineup.

Roger Daltrey is not an underrated vocalist. He has long been praised as one of the best rock & roll singers ever. His voice was second to none in power and passion.

This song is in my top 5 of my favorite Queen songs. Roger did a great performance in tribute of Freddie. If you want to hear Brian's vocals some more, he did a solo project and his song "Driven by You" is awesome. Great reaction Biss!! ❤🤘🔥

This vid was recorded in the Freddie Mercury tribute concert in 1992. You may wanna see the performance of Queen x Slash x Elliot, it rocks!

Nice for bringing some attention to Roger Daltrey. He is not underrated but somehow disappeared in forgetfulness. Now I’ll pick up my guitar and recall my favorite songs of him.

Absolute Legends from three different legendary bands. Hard to beat this right here.

The reason Queen never played this song live with Freddy is because the last time Freddy went on stage for a live performance was in 1988. After that his health became very bad and he preferred to concentrate his efforts in the studio, to record as many songs as possible. In fact, the last time Freddy stepped on stage in 88 was something very emotional, it's worth researching it, as it would be a great reaction!

Roger Daltery is a legend and one of the best. He was a rock god many years before The Queen was even founded.
This song was definitely meant as a stadium anthem and it is sad that Freddie never got the change to sing it live.

I have seen this video probably a thousand times at least. And that camera shot from behind the stage showing a sea of 72, 000 fans all clapping in unison has yet to fail to give me goosebumps.

This was Freddie's anniversary tribute concert, commemorating his death. Amazing concert. Long live Freddie and all of the artists paying tribute. If you want to hear more of Brian May, I'd recommend his version of "Too Much Love Will Kill You" from this concert or his recording.

Thanks, Bisscute. Very enjoyable reaction. 💚

"I want it all" was always one of my favorite Queen songs.
If you wanna hear Brian May sing maybe you should check out some of his solo stuff like "Driven by you".
