What a scary gamble with an entire country when they could take a full red Florida for 10 years vs a full blue California for 10 years and let the best governed state dictate what is best for the entire country.

Only 1.3% are AT the minimum wage, but how many are below $15? And I've been benefitting from paying these people slave labor wages for decades, I am fine with paying a little more so that they can afford to live.

So only 1.3% are at minimum wage (less because salary excluded), but we should be worried about a significant change to labor costs. We should brace for further raises, but we've been at $7.25 for 15 years.

I'll agree that there will be a complex interaction that we probably can't entirely predict, but fear mongering doesn't help either. This comes off as just complaining that we can have cheap things no matter who it hurts. We've already seen businesses lie about raising prices due to minimum wage increases before they even took effect.

I wonder how people can make it on a quarter a day for a hard work or a dollar a day and that bought them all they needed to eat gas for the car to go back and forth to work instead of increasing wage let's bring the price on everything down and quit taxing the hell out of everything tax to have money tax to get rid of money being taxed to make money being taxed on top of tax that would just be great
