Rewatching this during covid 19, the beginning of the interview was timely

By todays standards, this is a ridiculously civil and mature debate.

"I'm sitting here because I'm obnoxious, not because I'm white!". I'm actually impressed that O'Reilly has even that much self-awareness.

Bill O’Reilly was definitely the best antagonist of the series

The O'Reilly Stewart Rivalry was so awesome back in the day

I love Jon's genuine excitement at the end, "You did it!" His goal is to actually have a conversation that moves people toward understanding, not just to win political points. I miss him.

This is the perfect example of the breakdown in communication between Left and Right.
They often agree on a lot of the facts but place slightly different emphasis on them. And that emphasis leads to mischaracterising and demonizing the opponent.

This is honestly refreshing; the fact that two polar political opposites can do this. You can tell they don’t hate each other.

I love it when Oreilly goes outside the fox bubble, he seems a lot more... human

"I'm sitting here because I'm obnoxious, not because I'm white!" LMAO!!!! That's a classic line no matter what you think of the politics.

"Don't mess with Oprah, she'll shave you" is maybe the funniest joke Bill has ever said on purpose.

I think Bill agreed with what Jon was saying without actually realizing it

At least Bill had a sense of humor and he’d go on shows with Jon and Colbert. A lot of conservatives won’t do that.

We need more of this type of real civil discussion in today's politics

The fact that these two can get along on television like this, joke around, argue respectfully, its great.

I love that bill and John have such different view points and yet they can meet and have a debate and still be respectful to each other

What a fantastic discussion. I love how, despite their deeply contrasting views, they still had a lot of respect for eachother at the end. Rare to see.

This is why I love America and its tradition of tolerance and acceptance, these two gentlemen probably hate each other's guts yet they invite each other to their programs and discuss issues, whether they disagree or not, they are TALKING, DEBATING with great respect to their person. in the arab media, one presenter would be cursing another person and the other presenter would curse back and they would never meet again, but seeing these two men sitting together and talking regardless how much they disagree with each other yet somehow tolerate one another. I say this to all Americans, You ppl of the USA are lucky to be part of this great nation.
greetings from Yemen ( a small state in the mess of the middle east)

These 2 are awesome to watch spar. They can argue their points to the hilt, but what makes it work and so enjoyable to watch, is that there’s a foundation of respect and humanity that serves as the glue and makes it work.
