I really enjoy seeing someone keep Obama on his heels. Not attack him, not pander to him, but genuinely press and expect answers. This is why Jon Stewart can never be replaced (sorry Comedy Central). There's a visible mutual respect here, but neither of them is going to take bullshit from the other.

Why is a comedian giving the most powerful person in the world an actual hard and balanced interview where he's asking real, tough questions? Where the hell are the actual "news" people?

The United States of America. Where comedy shows are the most neutral source of news and information, and where comedians are better than journalists when it comes to interviews. They dont constantly interrupt, and actually listen - ask intelligent question. And theres CNN, Fox, MSNBC etc.

Loved this interview. Jon didn't pander to Obama. He asked some great questions and Obama really held his own. Obama has been a damn fine president. Will miss him when he's gone.

I'm gonna miss Obama. He didn't get as much done as I wished, or he wished, but he sure as hell did a lot of good in the White House.

This is a real interview people. Take note Fox news, ask good questions that would actually help. Don't only throw one sided questions to shine a bad light on the guests no matter what they answer. Stewart didn't hold back much.

this guy makes the gop look like idiots.
no damn wonder they hate him.
solutions instead of histrionics.
progress instead of stagnation.
diplomacy instead of useless confrontation.
reason instead of fear.
not perfect but a decent guy.

It's nice to listen to two intelligent people speaking.

He's not perfect, certain not a Miracle Worker, and I do have some criticisms, but I think overall he's been a Good President. And to the people that compare him to Hitler, not only is that comparison a slap in the face to people that were actually victims of Hitler, that also belittles the awful things Hitler did.

Also, Bill Clinton got Impeached for lying about a Blowjob. If Obama's done anything severe enough, with a Controlled House & Senate, wouldn't the Republicans have started the Impeachment Hearings/Proceedings by now?

I love Obama. But I love that this interview is tough, without being partisan.
P.S. Trump wud have attacked Jon. And later thrown a Twitter rant.

Hmmm, a president who can have a real discussion and offers detailed explanations. Whether or not you agree with his policies or like him, he's definitely a far cry from the "Believe me, I've got the answer. I'll tell you later" school of thought we're seeing now.

i'm really glad Obama became part of US history not only as the first African American President, but also as a inteligent, diligent and driven human being. Even though I'm not an US citizen, I would be produ to say he was my president. Gonna miss him on office...

How did a comedy show intending to make fun of a political talk show become the most influential political talk show?
Only in America ...

And having a president without a massive narcissistic personality disorder of course

Donald Trump can never explain things like Obama, all he would say is I have a plan, trust me.

My takeaway: no intelligent person ever claims to have all the answers, true intelligence is understanding your own limitations and ignorance. However, ignorant people WILL claim to have all the answers, a cocky move that only goes to emphasize one’s own idiocy *cough cough* do w/ that what u will

What is this interview doing on comedy central? This is more informative, uplifting, and important to my knowledge as an informed citizen of my country than anything I've heard on the news in the last two years.
