"This Barbara Lewis gem, "Hello Stranger", was very influential on the music of the 1960s. Barbara's choice of chords and words evoke a sweet type of melancholy that personalizes the song for each listener". John Masalle

Shoo-bop, shoo-bop
My baby

Shoo-bop - Shoo-bop
Hello, stranger

Ooh,
It seems so good to see you back again
How long has it been?

Mmmm,
It seems like a mighty long time

Shoo-bop, shoo-bop
My baby
Ooh

It seems like a mighty long time

Oh-oh-ohhh
I'm-I'm-I'm-I'm-I'm so glad

Ooh

You stopped by to say hello to me
Remember, that's the way it used to be

Ooh,
It seems like a mighty long
time'

Shoo-bop, shoo-bop
My baby

Shoo-bop, shoo-bop
My baby

Whoah, ohh
Oh, yes I'm so glad
You're here again

Ohh-oh-oh,
If you're not gonna stay

It seems like a mighty long time

My opinion, best decades for soulful loving music were the 60s, 70s and 80s. when groups played music and harmonized.

"How long has it been?" What a sad, heart rending question. Only Barbara Lewis knew how to vocalize that sadness.

I will always hear my older sister singing this...she had a voice like Barbara. Rest in peace, Phyllis. I miss your heart and soul. They both were in this music

2022, and it still sounds fantastic. I was 20 in 1963. I still get chills listening to it. Thank you, Regulator.

I wish urban radio station play these songs more othen to pay homage to the great legends. Young folks should never forget the black artistes in those time. Through their talent and music, they was able bridge a lot of culture barriers.
