Paul Charles Morphy was an American chess player. During his brief career in the late 1850s Morphy was acknowledged as the world's greatest chess master. The Italian Game is one of the oldest recorded chess openings and is defined by the development of the white bishop to c4 (the so-called "Italian bishop"), where it attacks Black's vulnerable f7-square.

Morphy is my favorite player of all time because I don't have a high ELO and there is so much you can learn from watching his games. It is like a basic solid bounce pass in basketball or textbook fundamental kung fu moves. I like how he develops like an artist does, not Stockfish.

I’ve never seen someone use Knights as strategic as Morphy. Everytime i think he’s outta moves he has a knight attacking something 🤣🤣🤣

I really appreciate your inputs.. This is one of the most CLEANEST and CLEAREST channel of chess analysis I've seen, Others put too many stupid opinions etc.. but this channel states pros and cons of the moves which is very easy to learn and understand..

What an incredible series of instructive and illuminating games! Paul Morphy was a master and you are a master of bringing his games and artistry to light!

Interesting that Paul Morphy is happy for his pawns to be gobbled up, which creates open files to exploit. He also takes great care to prevent the enemy king from castling.

Paul Morphy's style is as fascinating as ever. Although Sammy, please do not underestimate Luka Doncic's IQ: when it comes to strategy and tactics, he is literally considered a genius. If Paul didn't play basketball, Luka has never tried to apply his boundless IQ to chess, and we couldn't possibly imagine the outcome of a chess match between them... so far!
