Just bought one, it’s my first dive into the MPC world. Seems like it does a lot for the money. I totally understand that if you own the original ONE, there isn’t much point in buying this so I’m assuming I’m the target audience. I want an MPC but I don’t want to spend a fortune. The workflow has taken me a minute to get my head around but I’m loving it. I come from an Ableton background but I have a Maschine MK3 which I love and I had an SP404 MKII which is how I fell in love with standalone. I got a really good deal on a used one from a guy locally who couldn’t get on with it. It was only two months old in the box so I have the purchase receipt for the warranty and re registering it was easy unlike pre owned N.I gear! I’m looking forward to spending more time on it. 👍

I wouldn't call it an entry level unit. It uses the same software and firmware as the MPC X, Live, and Key61. The major differences are the available inputs/outputs which are not essential to its use.

honestly i use the MPC ONE more than my Live in the studio. they sound the same IMO. but the main factor is this Has More buttons for dedicated functions. which is perfect in a studio environment. sometimes touch can take you mind off what your doing. it has no battery but if its always hooked up thats not a issue.

I purchased the one plus used at a great price. I don't have any plans to be a high level producer with it but have seen people do so with much less advanced equipment than this. I just like gear and I love music and it's great to live in a time where anyone can obtain quality gear just for the sake of the enjoying making music.

Everyone I knew with an MPC never did much but go broke. I also remember ppl calling FL studio a toy like daw. It comes down to skills, some ppl need all the advantage they can get, and some ppl can pick up a fairly cheap instrument and create wonders.
The one is dope especially if paired with an interface and used in conjunction with a good daw imo.

The Wifi & Bluetooth is cool but if you already have an MPC one and you Have a smartphone,
You can Tether your Wifi connection thru usb with your phone.

I haven't had a problem with updating the software or anything like that and its not much of an inconvenience to connect my phone up.

As for Bluetooth, i guess thats nice for who wants it. Lol

My gripes are the RAM still being 2GB. And the 16GB of storage. Im like you Bolo, i rarely use the internal storage lol.

I got 256GB in my OG MPC One. Lol


I feel like this is for someone who never owned an MPC and wants to buy one.

Appreciate your input as always Bolo! Every product has it’s audience. What I’m really trying to hear from you is your opinion on the Jura plugin vs your Juno! I’m really feeling the Jura, I own all the plugins for MPC and this one is by far my favourite. Stay up homie!

Yo Bolo, I'm sure this question has been asked before BUT if you were just starting out, would you get a MPC One Plus or a Maschine Plus for your first "groove box"? I have the Maschine Micro MK3 and I do like the Maschine workflow but all this talk of stability issues has me nervous to get the Maschine Plus. I'd really appreciate your input!
