It's the technology that's changing the way we access media online. For years, there have been a growing number of restrictions which have blocked access depending on your location. From YouTube, BBC, HBO to ABC then your physical location will depend on how these sites work.

For many there will be no access, anyone outside the UK for example can't access the free to air BBC shows that exists online. There were 'work arounds' of course, but they were complicated using vpns and proxies to change your IP address. But now there are solutions based on something called Smart DNS, which is incredibly easy to use, and involves no software at all.

This video explains the concept from the user perspective, how to set it up and what it is capable of. In many ways you need no real knowledge of How Smart DNS works simply that it does.

I use Getflix which works the same way but so much simpler, got me a life time membership for $29 and everything works on all my devices and on all countries, also there is an option to install it on the router itself so you don't need to install on each device but I prefer the App so I can use it wherever I am.

So I'm in Australia accessing American Netflix using smart DNS server. If I want to say, stream movies from U.K Netflix, is there a way to do that via smart DNS server. Cheers.
