When I first started playing Ark, I had a base close to a spino, and the mf terrified me so much I didn't leave the base for over a week, because every time I saw it, it was killing something.

Then, I stumbled across a tutorial on how to tame it, got shocked, and tamed it first-try (surprisingly). We became best buds, used him for breeding (despite it being lvl 14), and brought it's kids to lvl 450 (took a damn long time). Couldn't be prouder of spino being my favourite ark creature.

I honestly like the spino for a tame than the Rex since it is so much faster, it can actually turn well, and it can swim, it’s one of the most fun tames in ark

I always loved how it could pivot in place in bipedal mode. Main reason I “hated” Rexs by comparison is that if there was too much behind your rex, it would take forever until you could actually turn around to face it

When we first started we bred spino, had a ton. A rival tribe blew up one of our containment walls (against other tribes advice) and let them loose on the center map. All on aggressive wander. Absolute chaos for weeks till we got them back in. Fond memories from ark year one.

I think dire bears are the most underrated. They have their speed up ability and can use their primary while running. They also get more honey without agroing bees. They are also one of the few creatures that can gather fiber. The dire bear also has a very high weight stat. The dire bear does pretty decent damage and has a decent amount of health too.

Spino is one of my favorite dinos of all time and the TLC update finally gave it the love it deserved and made it BEAUTIFUL!

The fact you can get out of sticky situations easily with spino makes it so useful. Whether it’s outrunning or escaping through water, but also you can turn in place. Your mobility per mass trade makes Spino one of the best Tames.

The Spino is super fun and have good DPS, but Rexes are chosen simply because they naturally have higher health pools. So you need way more health mutations on them to be boss ready than a Rex.

Ah, the first creature to ever kill me in ARK. A few minutes into the ark when I massive tank of a creature barrels towards me and turns me into a fine paste

Spinos are forever my favorite mount of choice besides Rock Elementals. For no other Mount is better on the ground in an all out fight against a rival tribe than a Spino, at least for me

My first time playing, I was stuck at the end of this peninsula because I was afraid to swim, and there was a spino where my escape was... Spent like two weeks in-game until I could build up enough stuff and levels to get a raft... 😂
