My theory is that the Spinosaurus stood in neck deep waters for hours at a time with just the head and the sail sticking out. This would explain why they had such large sails, because the large surface area of the sail sticking out above the water would have helped the Spinosaurus regulate it's body temperature by getting heated from the warm sun, preventing it from getting hypothermia. Also the position of the nostrils would support this model because the Spinosaurus could stay still for hours with it's mouth underwater while breathing. Additionally, the flat tail, while insufficient to provide any meaningful propulsion on it's own, would have been a useful when used in combination it's legs to quickly burst forward in an ambush attack.

Little fact: Just because it’s bigger than a trex, doesn’t mean it’s stronger. Scientists classify size with weight, trex was heavier and stronger. Even more so than giganotosaurus.

Edit: while spino could catch you lacking in the water, on land you would have to be more worried about a rex.

You're information is a bit wrong spinosauaraus maximum weight is actually 7 tons and his maximum length is 50 feet while trex length is 41 feet but the reason why trex is considered the largest meat eating dino is simply because whenever two dinos have almost similar length then we should compare them with their weight and trex weight is actually 10 tons

Some people think the spino is one of the most dangerous animals but it’s really not. It only goes hunting for fish. That’s pretty much what it does a T-Rex would easily snap its neck, because it extremely fragile flimsy it only uses claws to swim and catch fish that long and narrow snow is for catching fish. From a longer distances and I mean his neck is really fragile. It’s not like a human can break it.

You do realize that because something is longer than a lot of things does that mean that it is bigger? Because size also has to do with weight and the T-Rex was much larger in terms of weight when it comes to the spinosaurus.
