In this video we look at how you can quickly reset a Playstation 4 back to factory defaults via the Safe Mode options.

Please note that this process will return the console to the same state it was in, out of the box i.e. it will delete all Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) accounts, games, game saves data and media files.

It will not revert your console to a previous firmware version.

Before initialising the PS4 make sure you have backed up all your games saves to your SEN account.

To all of you that now can't pair again the controllers after resetting, here is the solution:
Hi guys, I was able to solve it using a different USB cable.
Steps:
1-Make sure you turn off your PS4 without any USB cables plugged in
2-Turn on your PS4.
3-Plug in the alternative USB cable (meaning: a different cable to the one giving you troubles), and then hit the PS button. It will work.
4-Doesn't work? Try another USB cable.

Q: What cable did I use?
A: I have an amazon TV fire stick and it comes with an usb cable. I used that one to plug my controller and then it worked.

Also, once you were able to pair again the DualShock, the cable that wasn't working before will work.

If your PS4 stuck, I suggest try to get a new or better cable android . Trust me it’s work .
