PS4: How to Factory Reset Back to Original Default Settings

I show you how to preform a factory reset on the PS4 (PlayStation 4). A factory reset will reset everthing back to factory defualt settings as if you just bought the PS4 brand new and took it out of the box.

Does it delete games/progress and does it delete my account fully or can I just log back in because I'm genuinely scared if I lost all that I did this and since my PS4 isn't connecting my controllers I have been stuck in the first thing but please if you see this tell me as soon as possible because I need to know.

[Restore Default Settings] does NOT delete anything from your console; it only resets all the settings, signs you out of PSN and brings you back to the OOBE (setup wizard).


If you wish to format the console, select [Initialise PS4], choose between a quick or full erase and follow other instructions on the screen.
Don't forget:

Do not turn off your PS4 during the process. Doing so may destroy your hard drive or prevent the PS4 from booting up.
