Fun fact about contrast training: I was one of the subjects in the 2010 Ruben et al paper from WVU which showed increased power production after a max back squat. It turns out Men likely need a back squat of > 2x bodyweight to get potentiation. The people tested with squats between ~1.5-2x bodyweight actually had the opposite effect (i.e. lower power output).

Of course most football players you're training likely have much higher than 2x bodyweight squats.

Especially if you want to get recruited you have to look the part your skills ultimately have everything to do with your worth ethic and your coaching/ training but if you like LeBron good athleticism and skills will take you a long way
