This video shows everything that needs to be done to replace or fix your cracked screen on any of your newer Samsung phones. Whether it is your S3, S4, Note 2, Note 3, Nexus phones. All of them have a single pane of glass that costs less than 10 dollars to replace. Anyone can do it if you are very careful and go slowly. The whole process took me about 30 minutes.

I just finished replacing the glass on my phone, using your video as a guide (and also the 3 common mistakes video). It took me 2 hours but that was because my glass had cracked into a lot more tiny pieces. Ordered all my supplies from Amazon too. $20 for the heat gun, $6 for the tape, $3 for the replacement glass and $1 for the utility blade. I spent $30 in total. Thanks a bunch JerryRigEverything!

This is the 2nd attempt at replacing "just the glass" as i made every mistake on your what not to do video the first time i tried to replace the glass and ended up replacing the whole LCD display assembly. Learned the hard way how fragile the digitizer is and there's a big difference between $8 glass and $80 LCD assembly!! So after sifting through about a half dozen useless videos to see what i did wrong the first time (as i was super careful and still broke the figured to look for some professional advice and some tech tips, i was glad i found your videos!! Great video. Thanks for the help! It took me about an hour after all was said and done. Phone works perfectly!!! My screen had multiple smashes so it was a real pain as the screen came apart in pieces. I saw someone else tape the screen before beginning the process. That may have been a good idea in my case.

You should have mentioned that the glue between the LCD and screen while not mandatory does serve a purpose. Ie. Strength, clarity and sensitivity. But I'm glad people like you are showing solid alternatives for those on a budget.

I have never managed to replace just glass on those screens. Hopefully this and the video about common mistakes will help me. I actually have 4 dead S3s with broken screens lying around, we'll see how that goes.

Thanks so much JerryRigEverything! I am on my third S3....apparently I have an issue holding on to these suckers. After using insurance on the first 2, I'm not eligible to buy insurance for another 6 months, conveniently the time I'm also eligible for discounted upgrade. So when I broke my phone for the third time, I began looking into this option. I watched 4 or 5 videos, Jerry's was the best, and the What Not to Do was invaluable!! I was so nervous doing the replacement, but it went great. I did feel like the LCD initially lifted with my glass, so I had to slow down and pay careful attention to only lifting the glass. And I must've left a piece of glue on the sides too high, because I can tell there is a small space between the glass and the LCD, but I can only see it when the screen is off and it doesn't appear to be affecting the function. Best $5.65 I've ever spent on ebay...tools and screen protector included and shipping was free!!

Nice video and good tutorial on how to take the glass off. Replacing the glass i would use loca glue as this bonds better to the glass/lcd to give you unconditional response to touch.

Thanks for the great video. It really helped to see each step explained.  One thing, though. Every vid I watched on this process showed what I would call 'perfectly cracked' screens--screens that only had 3 or 4 pieces.  My wife's phone had what seemed to be a hundred little shards which made it really difficult to get the old glass off.  However, I made it and got the new glass on and it looks great.
