To those of you who are saying this isn't a Samsung Galaxy S2, really needs to go online and look at the different models.... I had one just like this one I bought it through boost mobile its a SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 D710.! THERE IS ANOTHER MODEL THAT HAS THE HOME BUTTON BUT IS THROUGH A DIFFERENT MANUFACTURER.... Before you start saying that this is fake do some research, seriously you guys. That's why when you go to buy phone cases make sure you have the right model number of it. Usually if you go into about phone on your device it will show the make and model As far as putting the liquid on (the glue) it's not necessary but if it does crack again it helps it from shattering all apart. I have done some without but I do prefer the glue. I have a s4 now and luckily I haven't had to replace anything only on the s2. It's a tedious process but worth it other than buying a brand new

Great video! Looks like A LOT of work considering these phones are now under $100 but I will definitely go take a look at your ebay store and maybe check out some more of your videos while I contemplate doing this job for a friend of mine.

Hey Mr? I reaaly like your video. I have all I need to installed one. a new screen, UV glue, UV glue and adhesive remover, microfiber cloth, mini boxcutters, and UV light also... is that white cloth u used a papermtowel to dry please help... also was tatbyellow cloth that microfiber? and for taking old screen off did u use a wood burner? or can I use a hair dryer

My concern is as you push the glue around the edges it can run into the buttons and then when cured it will seize them. In fact on the s4 their seems to be two tiny holes on the frame that would allow the glue to run into the power button. I notice you placed the uv lamp on the edges first. Is that to prevent the glue running into unwanted areas? Would welcome your opinion on whether this is something we need to be careful of.

The double side sticker is for binding the glass to the frame. The LOCA glue is for binding the glass to the digitizer. For professional repair, you need both.

thanks for this video.. you have proven that I MYSELF should not attempt this.  I have the Tmobile skyrocket s2 and my outer screen glass is broken only.  many I have called said it would be about 160 because they have to replace to whole assembly because of the way the glass, digitizer and lcd are bonded together.  From the looks of it, it can be done without the whole assembly. One guy is asking me to leave my phone with him for a few days... how long does this process typically take overall?

where do you get the adhesive remover. it was kind of just a fun project for me to try it did not end up so well the first time around. I got the glass of just fine but when it came time to get the rest of the  off of the glass I tried to scrub it off with different solvents until it finally shattered in my hand. I'm going to try it again on my second one while my replacement phone is coming in the mail.

How does the glue keep from getting through to the camera, motherboard & all the other components? Ive heard you have to remove all that stuff to keep from damaging them.

i was told my lcd on my galaxy s2 is broken, would i be able to use this method to repair that too? also how much does it cost for new lcd screen typically?
