In this video, we’re going to talk about the health benefits of cruciferous sprouts.

We’re primarily talking about broccoli and cauliflower sprouts in this video. You can grow these at home in 3 days without sun or soil.

Cruciferous sprouts contain 100 times the amount of sulforaphane as adult plant counterparts.

This phytonutrient can help increase your resistance to cancer. They induce carcinogen-detoxifying enzymes. Sprouts can also promote selective apoptosis.

Studies show that sprouts are highly effective at lowering incidences of breast tumor cells.

Other research shows that they can help protect against H. pylori and gastritis.

Add some cruciferous sprouts to your salad or smoothie, or eat them on their own. These incredible superfoods are worth adding to your shopping list.

Try cauliflower or broccoli sprouts, and let me know how you like them in the comments below.

Im fit 67 and in stage 4 lung cancer. I'm on a targeted chemotherapy pill once a day. But on my own im taking 250mg of broccoli sprouts extract pills also turkey tail mushroom extract pills and lots of green tea along with lots of water and exercise. My tumor markers have dropped from 168 in Sept of 22 to 22 in March of 23. I feel fine so far. And of course I follow Dr berg .

I've been growing and eating my own broccoli sprouts for the last two years. It's easy. It takes about three days to grow several cups of sprouts. I put them on my salad every day.

I remember readings about this in a book I read back in the early 2000's that Dr. Oz consulted on.
I would see sprouts everywhere - produce aisles, salad bars, on sandwiches in restaurants. Now not so popular. I love sprouts! Thanks for the reminder.

I continuously grow these in a quart mason jar. I go 5 days, and once they're done, I put them in a container in the fridge and immediately start another batch. They, along with my mung bean sprouts (I hope those are okay!), are the base of my nightly salads. I use about 1/4 cup of each in my salad. Too hard for me to keep fresh greens for long, and I love that I can grow these myself indoors year-round.

A couple of weeks ago I had an endoscopy and was diagnosed with several stomach issues and one of them was Gastritis. I am so happy that this video came up on my feed regarding sprouts. I haven't made them in a couple of years but I do have the seeds so I'm going to start sprouting again. Thank you again Dr. Berg for this invaluable information!

This information could not have come at the perfect time, my sister just went into remission from Lymphoma. She's mostly vegetarian, I'm going to tell her about the broccoli sprouts. Thankyou so much.

I believe the reason sprouts disappeared from the produce aisles is due to salmonella outbreaks. Stores had to remove the sprouts and risk. So get seeds and a jar or sprouter and do it at home. Super easy and only takes a few days until they’re ready to eat!
