Car Batteries VS Boat Batteries - What's the Difference?

Uhm, wait a minute. There are plenty of cases where a deep cycle battery is being used in a vehicle, from pick-up trucks, wreckers, RV's, Tractor/Trailers etc. They last for years in those conditions. Heck, we used them to run a winch on a trailer, and that battery would be either mounted in the bed of the truck or on the tongue of the trailer. Again, lasted for years. Also have used them in a Jeep and other off road rigs to run winches and accessories and even starting the vehicles.

This just sounds like you are trying to sell more batteries.

Been using car batteries on my boat last 10 yrs, no issues and I fish offshore where water get rough.

Batteries is not a human being. If it is properly design and high quality material, it would not make a bit of difference on the operating condition since both auto and marine can be hot/cold or have lots of vibration. When you talk about deep cycle vs dual, that’s a different story. A design usage story.

That's funny, my "4x4" as you put it, sees much harsher roads and vibrations than my boat, which floats on cushy water, will ever see. So that doesn't make any sense. And I keep hearing that a "marine" battery not only starts the engine, but then has to "run onboard accessories." You mean like a car does? Aren't there "onboard" accessories in a car that are used after starting? Of course there is! And the engine ALTERNATOR powers those things, just like on a boat! The only agreeable content here, is the fact that deep cycle batteries hold a charge longer, enabling them to power something WHEN THE ENGINE ALTERNATOR ISNT RUNNING. Don't feel bad, 90% of the videos about boat vs car batteries are unclear like this one. Bottom line: boat batteries hold a charge longer, for running, say, a depth finder, or trolling motor, when the boat's engine alternator isn't running. Otherwise, the alternator powers things when running, just like a car.
